Poetry: Farewell Lover

Intertwined,
By design,
Trapped in a gaze.

A flutter,
Don't look,
I can't turn away.

A smile,
An invitation,
I just want to play.

Tangled,
From afar,
I don't even know your name.

Please,
Don't stop,
May I drink you in?

Magnetic,
Breath electric,
I notice your grin.

Hotter,
This flash,
I feel it deep within.

Broken,
But for a second,
This eternity is at an end.

Whimsical,
Playful moment.
Farewell lover that could have been.

Poetry: Liquid Courage

If there is a way to drown in happiness,
                                                                    then I am dying.

Each bated breath that does not bear your scent feels wasted.
The instant before we touch you are still too far away.
When you dirty my thoughts and you're not here it is the happiest misery.
My body transcends ‘want’ to ‘need’, ‘ask’ to ‘plead’, ‘serene’ to
                                                                                                                ‘electricity’.

Missing you feels so good,
Having you feels so right,
Tasting you feels like life,
Pleasing you feeds my writhe.

Touch my despair and set me free.
Devour my fire, lay waste to my sanity.
Occupy my soul, prey on my body.
Scorched sea of blistered calamity.

If there is a way to drown in happiness,
I embrace the depths to which I have fallen.
