Poetry: Sweet

Thick and lush sweet on the tongue,
Dessert of an exquisite kind.
Molten blush like a molasses touch,
Sugar rind from an intrinsic mind.
Golden nectar that travels blind,
Slowly glides like a summer stroll.
Flavored tempter that begs for mine,
Embrace, that's fresh like the days of old.
From peaks to valleys all is sweet,
Wet your pallet and truth be told.
The light that shines a hue discrete,
A taste refreshing, bright and bold.
Devouring tender piece of gold,
Empowering splendor deep inside,
Sustenance for the body and soul,
As the mind finds a candied sunrise.
